My Work
I produce a range of functional (jugs, mugs, bowls etc) pottery with sculptural pieces to add variation to the range.
Having been a marine geologist in a past career the influence of the marine environment is evident in my work. I use coloured liquid clay (slip) which provides a fantastic fluid palette for me to explore the patterns that nature produces, displayed in metamorphic and sedimentary strata and, particularly in marine geomorphology, such as the drawing back of silt by the waves on a sandy shoreline.
Join our friendly private pottery workshops and learn how to make pots on the (4) potters wheels and decorate your pieces with slips. Perfect for beginners and enthusiasts.
My wife (Sarah) produces and teaches fused glass and, kiln fired enamelled copper. View her work and join her classes at www.sarahgreeningglass.co.uk.
We both attend craft markets in the region. Dates are available in the News Section.
