About Chris Greening

I was raised near Dorchester in Dorset (England) and very fortunate to be educated in state schools that had fully functioning ceramic departments run by inspirational teachers (Mr Welstead at Puddletown and Mrs Williams at Hardyes).

However, I was not to become a potter for a number of years and after studying marine and earth sciences at Cardiff University became a hydrographic surveyor in the dredging industry. Whilst this was a very interesting period of my life I continued to fuel my passion for pottery setting up my first studio in Cardiff in 1996.

In 2000 our family then moved over the border to Worcester.
